Committing to a new vehicle can be intimidating. There are too many variables to consider when comparing one vehicle to another, and how can you trust that what you read is true? Thankfully you found your way to this blog where all we do is provide accurate facts and comparisons to make your car buying experience easy. So kick back, relax, and read on to see why the 2019 Honda CR-V in Clear Lake is a better SUV when compared to the Buick Encore.
Features that keep you safe during an accident are one thing, but what about features that help prevent accidents entirely? In the EX, EX-L, and Touring model, drivers will have access to a standard Collision Mitigation Braking System, which is capable of warning the driver of any possible collisions ahead. If the driver doesn’t react to the warning, this system will automatically apply the brakes at full-force to reduce the impact or completely avoid it altogether. The Encore does host a collision warning system to alert the driver, but it doesn’t have that extra brake feature. Another feature not found on the Encore is the CR-V’s driver alert monitor, which can detect an inattentive driver and sound a warning to suggest a break. You should never get behind the wheel if you’re too tired or drowsy, but if you do the CR-V has your back.
For superior ride and handling on and off the road, the CR-V has fully independent suspensions in the front and rear. This will allow the Honda to follow the path with the best possible grip. The CR-V also comes standard with front and rear stabilizer bars to provide you with even more control. As a final touch, this Honda can travel over rougher terrain without being damaged because it has a 2 inches greater ground clearance than the Encore. Also with just a semi-independent rear suspension and no rear stabilizer bar, the Encore won’t be as easy to handle nor will it have a smooth ride for those in the cabin.
To add convenience to your daily drive, the CR-V has plenty of ergonomic features you won’t want to drive without. To help the driver keep a safe following distance when in cruise control, the EX, EX-L, and Touring models have standard Adaptive Cruise Control. This system will automatically adjust the vehicle’s speed without the driver needing to interfere. To help keep everyone in the cabin comfortable, the CR-V offers rear air conditioning vents to keep those in the back warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The Encore has rear vents as well, but no AC system to keep them cool.
