Shopping around for a new ride doesn’t have to be complicated. We understand that there are a slew of makes and models to choose from, but after all is said and done, there is only one vehicle that is the perfect choice in compact SUVs. That choice is the 2020 Honda CR-V in Clear Lake, and today we are comparing it against the Toyota Rav4 to show how much better Honda is for everyone.
When looking at the amount of cargo and passenger space, the CR-V has a much bigger advantage than the RAV4. With seven more cubic feet of passenger volume (105.9 vs. 98.9) and more head, leg, hip, and shoulder space, the CR-V is undoubtedly the best in spacious comfort. Even if you have all of the passenger seats filled, you’ll still have enough room in the cargo area for luggage with 39.2 cubic feet of space versus the RAV4’s 37.6. And when you fold the rear seat down with the automatic switch (Toyota’s is manual), it expands to 75.8, which is still six more cubic feet than the Rav4.
Other advantages to driving the CR-V, include an easy entry system that comes standard on the EX-L and Touring models. This feature automatically moves the driver’s seat back when the door is unlocked, making loading and unloading more comfortable. And you won’t have to worry about remembering to turn on your headlights in the CR-V because it has standard automatic headlights that turn on at dusk and off after dawn. The Rav4 doesn’t offer an easy entry system or come standard with automatic headlights - for that feature, you would need to upgrade to the XLE, XLE Premium, Adventure, Limited, or TRD Off-Road. According to The Complete Car Cost Guide, owning a CR-V will also cost you less in the long run, with insurance being $425 less than the Rav4 over five years.
We could go on and on about why the 2020 Honda CR-V in Clear Lake is the better choice over the Toyota Rav4, but the best way to find out is discovering them for yourself.
